According to ChainCatcher, Coinbase Chief Policy Officer Faryar Shirzad recently responded on X to Senator Elizabeth Warren's criticism of the CLARITY Act, stating the bill will not weaken national security but rather impose stricter oversight of digital asset platforms. Shirzad said the act requires crypto platforms to comply with enhanced security standards and allows regulators to freeze suspicious transactions upon request. Senator Cynthia Lummis previously noted the CLARITY Act contains 16 anti-money laundering protections and warned it may be Congress's last major opportunity to pass comprehensive digital asset rules before 2030.
