According to The Block, Cosmos Labs, the core team behind the Cosmos blockchain ecosystem, has acquired Mintscan, a block explorer tracking over 80 Cosmos-based blockchains, and established a new Seoul-based subsidiary, Cosmos Labs Korea, to manage key ecosystem infrastructure. Discussions began in October 2025 when South Korean crypto firm Stamper (legal name of Cosmostation) approached Cosmos Labs to sell Mintscan, Cosmos Labs Co-CEO Barry Plunkett said. Deal size and financing details were not disclosed.
Mintscan will be consolidated with Skip:Go, IBC Eureka, and Cosmos Hub development under one organization. Select Mintscan employees will join Cosmos Labs, while the remaining Stamper business units continue operating independently. Plunkett noted the move expands engineering capacity for Cosmos Hub development and establishes institutional presence in South Korea and the Asia-Pacific region, where significant Cosmos developer and institutional activity is concentrated.
