According to COTI Foundation’s official announcement on May 17, the organization introduced a private ERC20 token infrastructure designed to enable encrypted transactions while maintaining full compatibility with Ethereum-based applications. The framework features encrypted balances, private token transfers, confidential DeFi interactions, and support for stablecoins and tokenized real-world assets.
The private ERC20 model extends the standard ERC20 functionality by adding advanced privacy capabilities without requiring developers to rebuild existing applications. The infrastructure aims to support enterprise financial operations, payroll processing, and confidential blockchain transactions while helping reduce exposure to MEV bots and public blockchain monitoring.
