Crypto Hacks Hit Record High in H1 2026 With $1 Billion in Losses, Blockaid Reports

According to Blockaid's H1 2026 report published Tuesday, crypto projects lost more than $1 billion to hacks during the first half of 2026, with verified exploit incidents reaching a record high. The firm called H1 2026 the "most-hacked half-year on record" in terms of incident count, noting it verified more exploits in the first six months alone than throughout all of 2025. Ethereum and Solana projects were the most-affected chains, losing $332 million and $326 million respectively.
