Crypto Projects Hit by 207 Hacking Attacks in H1 2026, Losing $972 Million Amid Record-High Breach Count

According to Immunefi, crypto projects suffered 207 hacking attacks in H1 2026, resulting in combined losses of $972 million. The number of attack incidents reached an all-time high, though total losses remained below $1 billion and less than half the damages from H1 2025. DeFi attacks declined 74% from the $2.62 billion peak in 2022 to approximately $680.3 million, with median single-incident losses dropping 75% over the same period.
