Dow Hits Record Close, Storage Stocks Surge 16% on May 21

On May 21, U.S. stock indices closed higher, with the Dow Jones reaching a historic closing high, up 0.55%, while the S&P 500 rose 0.17% and Nasdaq gained 0.09%. Storage stocks led gains, with ARM surging over 16% for its largest single-day move since March, SanDisk up over 10%, Seagate rising nearly 8%, Western Digital gaining over 5%, and Micron up more than 4%. Apple climbed nearly 1% to reach a record high with a market cap of $4.48 trillion.
