Droom Seeks $50M at $430M Valuation as Investors Question Profitability

GateNews

According to an exclusive Tech in Asia interview with founder Sandeep Aggarwal, Droom seeks to raise between $20 million and $50 million at a pre-money valuation of $430 million, aiming to turn profitable this fiscal year. The Gurugram-based online automobile marketplace reported monthly gross merchandise value of $53 million, with monthly revenue of $2.85 million at a 5% take rate as of March 2026.

Investors have expressed concerns over the valuation, citing a contribution margin of only $720,000 and a resulting valuation multiple of 600x. The company plans to use capital for growth, targeting 60%-80% expansion over three years and an EBITDA margin of 35%, while shifting focus from brand advertising to digital monetization.
