DS Asset Management Launches KOSDAQ Active ETF on July 14, Sets Management Fee at 100bp

According to Yonhap Infomax, DS Asset Management announced on July 10 that it will launch the DS KOSDAQ Active ETF on July 14, marking the firm's entry into South Korea's ETF market. Unlike passive ETFs that track indices, the active product focuses on fundamental analysis and company selection rather than market capitalization weighting. The fund carries a management fee of 100 basis points. DS executives highlighted that KOSDAQ is undervalued, noting that while the KOSDAQ 150 index rose just 0.67% year-to-date compared to KOSPI 200's 114.41% gain, KOSDAQ companies are projected to deliver 33% earnings growth next year, exceeding KOSPI's estimated 11% growth.
