Dunamu Selected to Manage Police-Seized Crypto Assets at 267 Million Won Contract

According to industry reports on July 8, South Korea's National Police Agency has selected Dunamu, operator of cryptocurrency exchange Upbit, as the preferred contractor to store and manage seized virtual assets. The one-year contract carries a budget allocation of 267 million won. The police agency initially announced the project with a budget of 83 million won but increased it more than threefold after three failed bidding attempts to attract qualified operators. The selection reflects efforts to enhance security and management efficiency in handling confiscated crypto holdings.
