According to Xinhua, the government of the Democratic Republic of Congo reported on May 18 that the Ebola outbreak in its eastern Ituri Province continues to spread, with 116 suspected deaths recorded so far. An additional 435 suspected cases are under observation and receiving treatment. Laboratory tests and epidemiological investigations remain ongoing.
