ECB Official Panetta: Markets Seem to Underestimate Risks Since April

According to Jin10, on Wednesday (July 15), Piero Panetta, member of the European Central Bank's Governing Council and Governor of the Bank of Italy, said multiple indicators show equity markets have underestimated risks since April. Rising energy prices, tightening financial conditions, and persistent geopolitical uncertainty have been only partially reflected in asset valuations. Panetta also noted that eurozone inflation remains around 3 percent and is expected to stay above this level until early 2027.
