According to Cryptopolitan, on July 15, ENS co-founder Nick Johnson submitted an on-chain proposal to establish a new Security Committee with a term through July 16, 2028. The proposal, controlled by members elected through EP 6.50, received 712,350 votes in favor, 0 votes opposed, and 66,730 abstentions, totaling 779,080 votes and exceeding the 1 million token quorum threshold.

This submission follows Johnson's veto of the committee's renewal proposal two weeks prior, which drew community scrutiny.
