According to ChainCatcher, the Ethereum Foundation’s working group launched the Clear Signing open standard today to address the long-standing blind signing problem in blockchain transactions. Built on the ERC-7730 specification, the standard implements the WYSIWYS (What You See Is What You Sign) principle, enabling users to view transaction details in a unified, human-readable format before signing. Clear Signing operates off-chain without altering existing transaction structures, enhancing security through standardized descriptions, registry systems, and independent verification mechanisms.
