According to CCTV News, the EU and Mexico signed an upgraded trade agreement on May 22 during the eighth Mexico-EU summit in Mexico City. The modernized agreement expands cooperation to services, government procurement, digital trade, investment, and agricultural products. The pact upgrades the original 2000 trade agreement between the two sides. Over the past 25 years since the original agreement took effect, bilateral trade has grown roughly fourfold.
