FBI Reports Over 13,400 Crypto ATM Fraud Complaints in 2025, Losses Hit $388 Million

According to the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3), in 2025, the agency received over 13,400 complaints related to cryptocurrency ATM fraud, resulting in losses exceeding $388 million. Compared to 2024, complaints increased 23% while losses surged 58%. Over half of the complaints involved individuals aged 50 and above, accounting for more than $302 million in losses.
