Fed's Waller: Further High Inflation Readings Would Signal Concern After 5-6 Months of Elevated Data

According to Jin10, Federal Reserve official Christopher Waller said Monday that if elevated inflation readings appear again when reviewing this week's inflation data, he would view it as a signal rather than noise, following five to six consecutive months of higher figures. Waller noted that if inflation data declines, he may need another one to two months of data to confirm whether it represents a genuine trend shift.
