According to analyst Serenity, South Korea's Foosung Co., Ltd. (market cap approximately $1.2 billion) may be entering a critical revaluation window on June 13, amid supply chain disruptions in WF₆ (tungsten hexafluoride) caused by external trade and export controls. Serenity estimates Foosung controls roughly 10% of global WF₆ supply, a material critical to semiconductor etching and deposition processes.
Tightened WF₆ availability could directly impact approximately one-quarter of global wafer fabrication capacity, affecting major chipmakers including SK Hynix, Samsung Electronics, and TSMC. Serenity noted this represents a strategic opportunity for Foosung amid potential supply chain restructuring.
