According to Xinhua News Agency, France’s Charles de Gaulle aircraft carrier arrived and deployed in the Arabian Sea on May 15, preparing for escort operations in the Strait of Hormuz. French Defense Ministry official Alice Ruffo said France’s position is to provide “possibilities” for restoring navigation in the strait, with measures being purely “defensive” and “compliant with international law.”
