According to Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB), reported by Sputnik on June 2, foreign intelligence agencies use malware-infected smartphones to conduct sabotage and intelligence operations against Russian officials. The FSB warned that classified information should not be discussed via mobile devices or in their proximity, as conversations could be intercepted by third parties with irreversible consequences. The agency disclosed that it has uncovered a case where foreign intelligence operatives used compromised smartphones to extract sensitive information from senior Russian personnel.
