Galaxy Digital received BitLicense and Money Transmission License from New York Department of Financial Services on May 18, enabling its subsidiary GalaxyOne Prime NY to expand digital asset services to institutional investors and firms in New York. Registered investment advisers, hedge funds, and family offices in the state can now access Galaxy Digital’s trading and custody services. The approvals bring Galaxy Digital’s global regulatory licenses to over 50, according to the company’s announcement.
