Glassnode: 6.04M BTC Exposed to Quantum Risk, 30% of All Supply

BTC0.49%
According to on-chain intelligence platform Glassnode, on May 20, 6.04 million Bitcoin — representing 30.2% of all coins ever issued — are currently exposed to potential quantum computing attacks. The research distinguishes between structural exposure (1.92M BTC, or 9.6% of supply), covering output types that reveal public keys by design, and operational exposure (4.12M BTC, or 20.6% of supply), which stems from address reuse and institutional custody practices but remains largely preventable through improved wallet management.
