Global UHNW Population Hits Historic 556,850 in 2025, Total Wealth Reaches $63.8 Trillion

According to Altrata's 2026 Global Ultra-High-Net-Worth Report, the global ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW, defined as net worth exceeding $30 million) population reached a historic 556,850 people in 2025, marking the second consecutive year of double-digit growth. The group's total wealth surged to $63.8 trillion.

Hong Kong saw UHNW population surge 26.4% to 18,290 people, securing the second-largest city globally after New York's 24,000. Seoul experienced even faster growth of 36.3%, driven by its leading position in AI semiconductor supply chains including Samsung and SK Hynix. Asia's UHNW population expanded 15.8% in 2025, with an average age of 64 years, younger than North America's 68 years.
