According to veteran markets commentator Clem Chambers in an interview with Kitco News, gold is likely to bottom near $3,500 an ounce, with silver settling between $40 and $50, before the metals begin their next upward move. Chambers, founder of financial website ADVFN, noted that gold has already slid to around $4,000 from a January record near $5,600, while silver has fallen more than 50% from its peak above $120 earlier this year. He plans to start buying the metals again before the end of 2026, employing a dollar-cost averaging strategy once silver drops below $50.
