Goldman Sachs: Global AI Capital Spending to Hit $7.6 Trillion from 2026 to 2031

According to Goldman Sachs' latest report, global AI capital expenditure for computing, data centers and power from 2026 to 2031 will reach approximately $7.6 trillion, with annual spending rising from $765 billion in 2026 to $1.64 trillion by 2031. The investment focus has shifted from foundational infrastructure toward real-world applications including manufacturing, energy, logistics, defense, life sciences and robotics. Hyperscale cloud providers' AI investments are expected to exceed $6 trillion by 2030.
