Google and Telstra Partner on Australia-Pacific Subsea Cable Network on June 2

According to Google, on June 2, Google and Telstra announced a partnership to improve network resilience and connectivity across Australia, the Pacific, Japan, and the US. Under the deal, Google gains access to capacity on Telstra's intercity fiber network, while Telstra accesses multiple Google-backed subsea cable systems. The partnership will add redundant routes and reduce single points of failure across the region.
