Google Introduces Gemini Intelligence for Android, Launching on Galaxy S26 and Pixel 10 This Summer

According to Google on May 12, the company introduced Gemini Intelligence, a new AI feature for Android that automates multi-step tasks across apps with user approval. The feature will initially launch this summer on Samsung Galaxy S26 and Google Pixel 10 devices before expanding to watches, cars, glasses, and laptops later this year.

Gemini Intelligence enables users to complete complex actions without manually switching between apps. New capabilities include AI-powered browsing in Chrome, enhanced autofill using data from connected apps, a voice-to-text cleanup tool called Rambler, and custom Android widgets created through natural language prompts. Google emphasized that users retain control, as Gemini only acts after receiving commands and requires final approval before completing tasks.
