GSK announced plans to save £1.9 billion annually by 2029 to fund increased research and development investment, offsetting revenue losses from its HIV drug dolutegravir as it faces patent expiration. The company will double the number of late-stage clinical trials launched this year to more than 20, while relocating its UK research center from Stevenage to Cambridge. GSK aims to replace the HIV drug's revenue through new assets in HIV, oncology, and respiratory diseases.
