According to PANews and monitored by GoPlus, hacker group TeamPCP claims to have obtained source code from approximately 4,000 private repositories within GitHub and is selling the data on underground forums for $50,000, offering sample verification. GitHub has confirmed it is investigating the unauthorized access to internal repositories, with initial findings suggesting malicious VS Code and AI coding extensions may have been installed on employees' devices.
