Hang Seng Index Falls 169 Points to Close at 24,030, Northbound Inflows Reach 9.83 Billion Today

According to Hong Kong stock market data, the Hang Seng Index fell 169 points, or 0.7%, to close at 24,030 today, narrowly holding above the 24,000 level after gaining 702 points yesterday. The index opened lower, briefly lost the 24,000 mark during intraday trading at a low of 23,917 points, before recovering support in the final session. Northbound capital inflows totaled 9.83 billion yuan, while overall market turnover reached 377.248 billion Hong Kong dollars. The National Index fell 86 points, or 1.08%, to 7,997 points, while the Tech Index edged up less than 1 point to 4,731 points.
