According to CCTV citing China's Chongqing Hydrological Bureau, from 8 a.m. May 24 to 8 a.m. May 25, 12 districts in central and northeastern Chongqing experienced medium to heavy rain, with some areas receiving downpours. The maximum daily precipitation recorded was 89.5 millimeters in Liangping District. The rainfall triggered water level rises across 9 rivers at 14 monitoring stations, with 5 rivers at 8 stations exceeding safety thresholds. Affected waterways included Heishui River, tributaries in Beibei and Fuling districts, and multiple rivers in Yongchuan and Rongchang districts.
