According to Wind data, Hong Kong-listed companies conducted share buybacks totaling over HK$100.67 billion as of July 27, 2026, with nearly 300 companies participating—a surge exceeding 50% compared to the same period last year. The buyback volume reached 7.518 billion shares. Major participants include Tencent Holdings with HK$26.128 billion in buybacks across 53 transactions, followed by AIA Group with HK$13.635 billion and Xiaomi Group with HK$11.316 billion. Concurrently, Hong Kong's IPO market remained robust, with 100 completed listings raising HK$272.339 billion, a 111.26% increase year-over-year, driven primarily by A+H stocks and technology companies.
