Hong Kong Securities Professional Association Meets SFC on Virtual Asset Regulations, CVAP Exam Reform on July 3

According to the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Professionals Association, regulators met with the association on July 3 to discuss virtual asset policies, licensing, operating costs, and the Cryptocurrency Virtual Assets Professional (CVAP) examination. The association raised concerns over CVAP exam authorization and procedural transparency. In response, the Securities and Futures Commission confirmed plans to separate the curriculum from the exam and reduce examination fees.
