According to People's Daily, Huawei Executive Director and Semiconductor Business President He Tingbo unveiled the τ-law (Tao Law) on May 25 at the 2026 International Conference on Circuits and Systems in Shanghai. The principle, presented in a keynote speech titled "Exploration and Practice of New Semiconductor Pathways," marks the first time China has introduced industry-guiding principles in the global semiconductor sector. Based on this law, Huawei has successfully designed and mass-produced 381 chips over the past six years.
