Huawei Genius Programmer Li Bojie Responds to Investment Allegations, Says Metagent Received Only $500K of $1.5M Commitment

According to Li Bojie, Huawei's first-batch "Genius Programmer" who responded on social media on July 7, the investment agreement with ABCDE Capital stipulated $1.5 million in funding, but only $500,000 was actually disbursed, leaving $1 million outstanding. Li stated that due to the delayed payment, both he and co-founder Zhuang Siyuan voluntarily reduced their salaries, impacting company hiring and R&D operations. Li departed Metagent in October 2024 due to personal family reasons and received board approval for his resignation. He emphasized that as CTO and co-founder, he consistently fulfilled obligations to disclose cap tables and business updates throughout his tenure.
