Hyundai Department Store Q2 2026 Operating Profit Forecast at 84.4B KRW, Down 2.88% YoY; Zinus Subsidiary Loss Offset Retail Strength

According to a consensus forecast from nine brokerages compiled by Yonhapinfomax, Hyundai Department Store's Q2 2026 operating profit is expected at 84.4 billion KRW, declining 2.88% year-over-year, while sales are projected at 1.024 trillion KRW, down 5.17% YoY. The department store division is a bright spot, with estimated sales growth of 11.6% YoY driven by luxury and fashion segments, plus foreign tourist spending surging 60% to represent approximately 8% of total sales. Duty-free operations are also expected to turn profitable, forecasted at 5.5 billion KRW in operating profit. However, subsidiary Zinus, which produces furniture and mattresses, is projected to post an operating loss amid conservative orders from major customers, serving as a key drag on consolidated results.
