According to Yonhapinfomax, on July 24, Hyundai Motor Group Chairman Chung Euisun announced at an AI Summit in San Francisco that the company plans to produce autonomous-driving-specialized Ioniq 5 vehicles at its Georgia facility, with vehicles to be deployed in Waymo's robotaxi service. Chung emphasized that collaborations with big tech companies like Nvidia, Waymo, and DeepMind would help establish a new innovation ecosystem by combining Hyundai's manufacturing capabilities, robotics technology, and data with these firms' advantages in advancing physical AI applications.
