IIT Clinical Trial With Tirzepatide and LAE102 Launches for Obesity Treatment in 60 Patients Over 24 Weeks

Recently, a clinical trial was initiated at Fudan University's Department of Endocrinology to evaluate the safety and efficacy of LAE102, a selective ActRIIA antagonist developed by Luokang Medical-B (02105), combined with tirzepatide in obese subjects. According to clinicaltrials.gov, the randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study will randomize 60 participants to either the combination treatment group or placebo group for 24 weeks of treatment. The trial explores ActRII as a potential co-target with GLP-1 therapies for improved muscle gain alongside fat loss in obesity management.
