ILJIN Global Becomes South Korea's First 5 Trillion Won Asset Conglomerate With 1 Trillion Won Cash Reserve

According to BizWatch, ILJIN Global, a South Korean automotive parts conglomerate, was designated in May 2026 as the nation's first publicly announced corporate group with assets exceeding 5 trillion Korean won. As of year-end 2025, the group's domestic subsidiaries held combined assets of 5.06 trillion won, with five operating companies maintaining 1.026 trillion won in cash reserves and zero net debt.

Chairman Lee Dong-seop, 55, who inherited operations in June 2023 following founder Lee Sang-il's death, holds dominant control across subsidiaries. Last year, ILJIN Global's combined revenue reached 3.79 trillion won with operating profit of 390.6 billion won, maintaining a 10.3% profit margin. The group operates 12 domestic factories and 11 production facilities across 10 countries.
