iM Financial Prepares Full Subsidiary Consolidation of iM Securities, Uncertainties Resolved

According to iM Financial CFO Chun Byung-gyu, on July 27, the South Korean financial holding company is preparing conditions for full subsidiary consolidation of iM Securities, with major uncertainties regarding preferential shares largely resolved. In a Q2 earnings conference call, Chun stated that timing is "sufficiently prepared," with future decisions to be based on comprehensive consideration of the holding company's market valuation. The company also announced it would acquire an additional 30 billion Korean won in share buybacks, bringing the 2026 buyback total to 70 billion won. iM Financial targets achieving a 9% return on equity (ROE) by 2027, up from an expected 8% this year.
