Intel Raises CPU Prices Across Consumer and Server Lines on July 7, Impacting PC and AI Infrastructure Costs

Intel confirmed today that it has raised suggested prices for select consumer-grade and server-grade processors, including Core Ultra 200S Plus consumer CPUs and certain Xeon 6 and Xeon 8000 series server processors. The company attributed the price adjustment to changes in market conditions and ongoing assessments of supply chain costs.

Server processor price increases will directly raise costs for enterprises building AI data centers and computing infrastructure, while consumer CPU price rises are expected to flow through to PC retail prices. Partial Xeon 8000 series models now command prices exceeding their 2023 launch levels, with increases reaching over $1,300 on certain SKUs.
