Iran Accuses U.S. of Failing to Rein in Israel Over Lebanon on June 20

According to Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Baghaei, on June 20, the U.S. has failed to uphold its commitment under a memorandum of understanding by not compelling Israel to cease military operations in Lebanon. The first article of the agreement, which mandates ending all warfare across all fronts including Lebanon, is the core pillar of mutual commitment. Baghaei warned that violating the first article calls into question the entire deal, and without immediate corrective measures by the U.S., the entire memorandum of understanding faces serious jeopardy.
