Iran and U.S. Drafting Memorandum of Understanding for Permanent Peace Framework

Gate News message, April 17 — An Iranian official stated today that Iran and the United States are drafting a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to establish an overall framework for a final permanent peace agreement. The official expressed optimism about signing the MOU during negotiations scheduled to take place in Pakistan in the coming days.

The memorandum sets a 60-day follow-up negotiation window to advance toward a final agreement, according to the official.
