He stated that the United States has failed to achieve its objectives in the Strait of Hormuz and in weakening Iran, and may be seeking a new strategy. Shekarchian noted that with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu visiting the United States, Iran could face military action, though he suggested the U.S. would face greater vulnerability in ground combat scenarios.
