Iran Readies Mechanism to Control Strait of Hormuz Transit; Fees to Apply

According to Jin10, Iran's parliamentary national security committee head announced the country has prepared a mechanism to manage traffic along designated shipping lanes in the Strait of Hormuz, with details to be disclosed soon. Only commercial vessels and entities cooperating with Iran will benefit from the arrangement, which will impose fees to cover professional services provided. The passage will remain closed to operators of the "Free Navigation" initiative.
