Iran, US Made No Nuclear Commitments in Draft Agreement, Diplomat Says on May 25

GateNews

According to Iran's Student News Agency (ISNA) on May 25, a senior Iranian diplomat stated that neither Iran nor the United States made any commitments regarding nuclear issues or highly enriched uranium in their preliminary draft agreement.

The diplomat noted that if the U.S. fulfills commitments in a potential memorandum of understanding, both sides would discuss nuclear issues and highly enriched uranium stockpiles over a 60-day negotiation period in exchange for U.S. sanctions relief and unfreezing of assets. Iran is currently focused on negotiations to end the war and has not discussed nuclear matters at this stage.
