Iran's Foreign Minister Says Country Will Remain Guardian of Strait of Hormuz, Disputes Trump's 20% Fee

According to Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on July 13, Iran is and will remain the guardian of the Strait of Hormuz. His comments were in response to U.S. President Donald Trump's proposal to charge 20% on shipping traffic through the strategic waterway. Araghchi said on social media that while the logic of charging for security services is sound, 20% is too high, and Iran would set a more reasonable rate.
