According to Mehr News Agency, Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Kalibaff met with Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on May 17 in Islamabad to discuss the stalled U.S.-Iran peace negotiations. During the meeting, Naqvi expressed Pakistan’s hope to facilitate a successful outcome in the talks between the U.S. and Iran, stating that Kalibaff “firmly upheld Iran’s national interests while working to resolve various issues” during the discussions.
