Iran's Vice President Vows Strong Response to Attacks on Energy Facilities

Gate News message, April 24 — Iran's Vice President Ismail Sagheb Isfahan announced on April 24 that Iran will respond forcefully to any attacks on its energy facilities. Speaking at a rally in Islamshahr, Isfahan stated that if adversaries misjudge the situation, Iran's strategy will escalate beyond a simple tit-for-tat response.

"If even one Iranian oil well is attacked, we will target the oil fields of the country that launches the strike from its territory," Isfahan said. He emphasized that Iran's response will not be limited to "an eye for an eye"—that approach represents only the first step of Iran's defensive measures.

Isfahan added that Iran is fully prepared to maintain continuous energy supply, with arrangements in the energy and power sectors already in place. He assured citizens that there is no need for concern about energy security.
