Israeli Military Warns of 12,000-Person Manpower Shortfall, Including 7,000 Combat Troops

According to Jin10, the Israeli military warned on the evening of May 17 that it faces a manpower shortfall of approximately 12,000 personnel, including 7,000 combat soldiers, due to sustained pressure from multi-front operations on regular and reserve forces in recent years.

The military stated that unless the government passes legislation to address the personnel deficit, the shortfall will continue to widen due to the planned reduction in mandatory military service beginning in early 2027.
