Italy Declines to Respond Further to Trump Provocations on July 7

According to Xinhua, on July 7, Italy Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani stated that Italy will no longer respond to U.S. President Trump's provocative remarks. The statement comes after Trump shared a photo of Italian PM Meloni on July 5, in which Meloni appeared to gaze up at Trump in close proximity. Trump captioned the image with "Need a limit order" without clarifying the intended meaning. Meloni has not made a public response to date.
